The 2010 Stone Arch Festival of the Arts will be held on June 19 & 20. This will mark the festival’s 16th year of celebrating art in the Twin Cities. For as many years this free, two day festival held on Father’s Day weekend, has brought more than a half million people to the Minneapolis downtown Riverfront District. The festival features more than 250 visual artists, 40 live performances and family entertainment.

  • ART! Original, inspiring, engaging, imaginative

Hundreds of artists from across the country apply to be juried into the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. Patrons enjoy shopping for treasures by the wide variety of talented artists that appeal to a range of tastes and pocketbooks.

  • Catch It Live - Music, Dance and Theater Performances

What really sets the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts apart from other local art festivals is the inclusion of other art genres including 60 dance, theater and music performances on four stages throughout the weekend.

    • Cities 97 Stage - Located on the island, Water Power Park on the Mississippi River includes a Beer and Wine garden and food vendors.
    • City Pages Central Avenue Bridge - Located under the Central Ave Bridge, adjacent to the Beer and Wine garden and food court.
    • Star Tribune Stage - Located in Father Hennepin Park, adjacent to Youth Arts Quarter and food court.
    • St Anthony Main Courtyard Stage - Located in on the patio between Tugg’s Tavern and Vic’s Dining on Main Street.
  • Youth Arts Quarter

This area is located in Father Hennepin Park at the foot of the Stone Arch Bridge. It is all about making art an active experience for families. Don’t miss the Lego Creation Station and the KSTP’s Twin Cites Live Seed Art Portrait Center.

  • Art of the Car

patrons even appreciate the artistic design of cars. The Art of the Car display has grown from a classic car show into a modern celebration of cars. The car show hosts an impressive 100 different classic, imported and restored cars per day.

The Stone Arch Festival of the Arts is produced by Minneapolis Riverfront Arts and Events. This non-profit organization supports the Minneapolis Riverfront District and Minneapolis Park Board.
